Rental home management in Markham.
Markham tenants are often families who chose the city for its schools and tech-sector jobs, and they stay when the house is well run. We manage detached homes, semis and freehold townhouses across Markham for owners in the GTA and abroad: listing, screening, the Ontario Standard Lease, rent, photographed repairs and a monthly statement with the invoices attached. Video showings make it easy to lease to families still overseas.

Markham, specifically.
Rental home management in Markham: the local picture
Unionville has a heritage Main Street ringed by detached homes from the 1970s and 1980s, and Markham Village has older brick houses and postwar bungalows. Cornell was planned in the 1990s and 2000s on new-urbanist lines, with townhouses and detached homes served by rear lanes, while Berczy Village, Cathedraltown, Wismer and Box Grove are subdivisions from the 2000s and 2010s. Renters include families targeting well-regarded York Region schools, employees of the technology and financial firms along Highway 7 and the 404, Markham Stouffville Hospital staff, York University Markham Campus faculty near Markham Centre, and commuters using Stouffville GO at Unionville, Centennial, Markham and Mount Joy or VIVA Purple on Highway 7.
Markham plows all public sidewalks within about 24 hours once 5 cm has fallen, but driveways, walkways and windrows stay with the household. The City's windrow help is limited to eligible older adults and residents with disabilities, and homes on rear lanes do not qualify. Rear-lane townhouses also need clear rules on garage access, bin placement and lane parking. Seasonal work includes eavestroughs, furnace and air-conditioning servicing, and sump pumps in newer basements. Owners living outside Canada are subject to federal non-resident withholding on rent, and we supply the records.

Neighbourhoods we cover
Does the City of Markham clear windrows at my rental?
Generally no. Markham's windrow program only assists eligible residents, such as older adults and people with physical disabilities, and properties with rear lanes are excluded. For a tenanted house, the lease should assign driveway and windrow clearing to the tenant, or we can book a contractor at your cost.
How do you screen Markham applicants who are new to Canada?
Many strong applicants have little Canadian credit history. We look at employment letters, overseas references, bank statements and, where appropriate, a qualified guarantor. Every applicant goes through the same documented process, so decisions are consistent, fair and defensible under Ontario's Human Rights Code.
